Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter could possibly be one of the best military game out there either that or it's just that it's for the x-box 360. I'm not really a Ghost Recon fan, but the best part about this game is that it is now a third person shooter. This game also has the best graphics i have ever seen. there/s only one thing that bugged me and that is that when you and a friend play multiplayer and one of you die you don't respond. you have to wait until your friend dies so you can start over.

Black

Black is an awesome game. this is one of the best first person shooters I've played in a while. the only thing i didn't like was that it takes a while to kill your enemy unless you shoot them in the head right away. I love how you can destroy everything.

Sony Expects a Hot Start for PlayStation 3

Sony Expects a Hot Start for PlayStation 3 - Yahoo! News

"After the introduction of the PS3 we will focus our efforts on expanding the platform as rapidly as possible," Oneda said. "We will also attempt to lower the manufacturing costs by reducing the number of parts used in hardware and reducing the costs of the semiconductors and other key components. By so doing, we aim to bring the PS3 business to profitability at the earliest possible time."

What do you think? I think we will see PS3's selling this December on E-bay for $100's over list price, what ever that ends up being.

Professional Video Gaming Coming Soon to TV

Technology News: Professional Video Gaming Coming Soon to TV

Professional video gaming is set to debut on cable television later this year, potentially paving the way for the kings and queens of game controllers to become as familiar to American households as the faces of Johnny Chan or Annie Duke in televised poker.

I am really looking forward to this. It's always good to see how great players play.

According to Californian developers, PS3 will be $499

PlayStation 3: $499 – Developers Speak - News at SPOnG.com

This should spark a big debate. A complete X-box 360 for $399, Nintendo Revolution for approxmately $150 or the PS3 at $499. I think Sony will meet some resistance at this price. The reason will be that some just won't be able to afford the price. The PS3 will still lead the market and be the best conole but some people will not pay $499 no matter what. What do you think?

PSP vs DS: 1 Year Later from 1UP.com
And then there were two. The DS is cleaning up in Japan -- the sheer demand for the console there has siphoned every single unit from the marketplace, while PSPs sit unloved on store shelves. But here in the U.S., it's a neck-and-neck race. And, since the PSP launched one year ago on March 24th, 2005, we thought it'd be an excellent time to revisit the past year and gauge the situation as it stands today.

Xbox 360 Shipments Ramp Up news from 1UP.com

Microsoft has announced that they will start shipping two and three times the amount of Xbox 360s to retailers nationwide in an attempt to start meeting gamers' demand for next-generation gaming with the right supply.

Initially, Microsoft hoped to sell 2.75 million to 3 million consoles in the first 90 days after the product's U.S. launch in November. The company later reduced that target to 2.5 million but said it still aimed to sell 4.5 million to 5.5 million units by the end of June. The extra machines come courtesy of Celestica, a third manufacturing partner Microsoft revealed back during the Consumer Electronics Show back in early January.

PS3 Conference Report - Date and More! News Story From 1UP.com

PS3 Conference Report - Date and More! News Story From 1UP.com

Finally, some real details from Sony about the PS3.

  1. Sony plans to release the PS3 in Japan, North America, and Europe simultaneously within the first 10 days of November.
  2. The PS3 will include a 60GB hard drive (which is upgradeable) with Linux preinstalled.
  3. Sony's online service called the "PlayStation Network Platform", will feature such functions as matchmaking, messaging, rankings, friends lists, voice/video chat, in-game shopping, and game downloads to the hard drive. Best of all, the service will be free (as of right now, it isn't clear on whether there will also be a paid tier of service similar to Xbox Live Gold). The service will also allow for publishers to connect their own game servers.

Sony also offered an apology for the screwup. I hope Sony keeps their word from now on and we can get our hands on PS3's by this Christmas.

Good day!

Report: Sony admits PS3 delay possible - News at GameSpot

It looks as though Merrill Lynch was correct that Sony would delay the release of the PS3 due to problems with the mass production of the console's built-in Blu-ray drive. This comes as no surprise as many sources were reporting that fall would be the earliest that the Playstation 3 would be released. I think most Playstation fans will be ok with this but a delay into 2007 would spell trouble for Sony.

PlayStation.com - News - News Stories - SOCOM 3 to invade new maps

PlayStation.com - News - News Stories - SOCOM 3 to invade new maps

According to playstation.com:
new downloadable map packs for SOCOM 3 will be available this year, with the first scheduled for release sometime in March. Gamers will be able to log into their SOCOM 3 accounts and purchase the add-ons for $5.99. Using a compatible USB storage device or a PlayStation Portable equipped with a Memory Stick Duo (minimum 32MB capacity), purchasers can take their downloaded content anywhere. Those with the PS2 40GB internal drive will also be able to download the map packs.

The first bunch will include several maps that should be familiar to those who played SOCOM II, such as new versions of After Hours, Last Bastion, and Liberation. This will mark the first time that the maps will be playable without the internal hard drive, and each battleground has been reworked with new features for SOCOM 3. Subsequent packs will be distributed "over the next several months" and feature reworked maps from the original SOCOM, as well as all-new levels.

This sounds pretty cool. I am interested to see how this works and if they introduce any new maps.

russian climbing - Google Video

russian climbing - Google Video

I love these videos. These guys are awesome. The style is called Parkour and is an urban sport that originated in Europe, it’s a new way of bringing together the spring-loaded bodies of young males with stairways, park benches, the stuff of city blocks and suburban shopping malls. Call it skateboarding, but without the skateboards — a form of extreme gymnastics that swaps parallel bars and mats for fire escapes and concrete.

The sport was invented in the late 1980s by two suburban Paris teens, Sebastien Foucan and David Belle, who began experimenting with obstacle course-style exercises taught to them by Belle’s father, who had served in the military. Parkour is making way into the United States, helped along by word-of-mouth on the Internet. Check it out.

Sony sez "no change" to PlayStation 3 launch date - Engadget

Hope they are right about this. Also take the link about the PS3 costing Sony $800.00 to produce. The PS3 should be sick and I can't wait to see what it can do. I remember when the PS2 came out, the difference between the PS1 & PS2 was noticeable and I hope it is even a bigger difference when the PS3 comes out.

Sony to definitely launch the PS3 this year, says company official

Are we to believe Sony? They still aren't showing the new PS3 yet they continue to say they will release it this year. I don't know but I'm beginning to wonder if they are just playing us so we won't go buy a new X-box. Sony better deliver a great gaming system by year-end or there will be plenty of crazy mad gamers.

Peter Jackson's King Kong

Peter Jackson's King Kong is a great game, but short. In this game you play the part of king kong and then you play the part of a character named jack. this game takes place on an island that you are stranded on. When you play the part of jack your in first person and you can use spears to survive. You do use guns but those run out of ammo to easily. King Kong is a hard, but short game.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a great street racing game. In Need For Speed Most Wanted you lose your car to the cops racing your rival. Now you have to start from scratch. I think it is really awesome that they put cops in this game. When the cops start to chase you they start on heat one which sucks because you can escape from them really easily. Their are some mossions where you need the cops and it really sucks because its really easy to escape from the cops when your on heat 1 the toughest heat is heat 5. Heat 5 is when the send a helicopter after you and lay down spikes to pop your tires and they also send suv's after you that ram into you. I think the cut scense look just like a movie.

Prince Of Persia The Two Thrones

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is the finall and best game of the Prince Of Persia series. I love the idea of the prince having an evil side, but one of his features I dont like is that he constintly losses health. It gets anyoing when your running around thinking of what to do when all of the sudden you fall down and die. In the game the prince learns how to spead kill. Spead kill is when you sneak up on your enemy and press the action botton and kill him with one stab to the heart. This game has a problem with the cut scense, whenever the prince moves his face while talking his hair go striaght through his face.
